Who We Are
What is Roller Derby?
It’s a game of full contact on skates, think rugby without the ball, intrigued? More information on the game can be found here on the WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association) website: https://wftda.com/the-game/
Brief Hellcat history
Hallam Hellcats was founded in 2012 with the simple aim to create and provide a positive and challenging training environment for all who skate with the Hellcats. We believe trans people belong in sport and welcome all marginalised genders to join our team. This includes all women, intersex, non-binary or otherwise gender diverse people.
Skater owned and operated, we pride ourselves on our ‘for the skater, by the skater’ ethic. Our goal is to be a successful, positive force in Roller Derby and have a blast along the way.
Looking for a new sport? Feel free to get in touch with us & see when our next recruitment is.
Our accomplishments include participating in every Five Nations Roller Derby Championship competition since conception in 2015 and being the only WFTDA aligned team in Sheffield that has won said championships.

Testimonial
I found my tribe with Hellcats, these are people that train hard but also have a genuine laugh whilst doing so. Having skated for 13 years with Hellcats there is no where else I'd rather be.
We have taught people who have zero skate skills and welcomed those who skate like they have wheels on their feet 24/7. The team is about bringing people up to the same level, hitting your mates (legally) and learning new skills in a competitive contact sport.Abbo
