Our Story
Good Nets was founded in Liverpool, born from a struggle to find women’s football clubs in my area. My search for a social, open-age team led to dead ends.
By a serendipitous moment, I found an inclusive team reviving my passion for the sport I’d left behind. As new friendships formed and my fitness returned, an idea sparked – what if finding your perfect club didn’t have to be a stroke of luck?
At Good Nets, we believe in the power of sport to inspire, connect, and empower women of all ages and abilities. Our online directory is more than just a platform – it's a community-driven space designed to make finding and joining local sports clubs a breeze.
I imagined a solution to my struggle – a digital space where you could quickly and easily match your individual needs and preferences to local sports clubs in your area. A place that helped bridge the accessibility gaps, keeping so many on the sidelines by connecting the community and spotlighting hidden opportunities to play.
Like many women, I lacked visible pathways back after years away from youth football. Too often access barriers, and invisibility leave women and girls who want to play sports for fun on the periphery.
My unmet need echoed a wider opportunity – to bridge gaps by helping others belong through sports. To create spaces where women can discover a sport that they love, whether they are novices or experts.
Our Mission
Good Nets maps local women's sports groups in one inclusive, searchable home. Beyond clubs, we offer coaching for those seeking to gain confidence and improve. We believe that sport is not about being the best or the fittest. It's the joy of showing up as you are, supported by others who share your passion.
